Terms of Use
Effective November 4, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Income with Intent LLC ("we", "us") about your use of the Income with Intent app and its server (together, "the service"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
1. What the service is
Income with Intent is a budgeting tool. It helps you plan each paycheck, track spending against your plan, and work toward goals and paying off debt.
- It isn't a bank. We don't hold your money, open accounts or issue cards.
- It never moves money. Balances, plans, goal and debt amounts, and savings, retirement or investing amounts are planning figures. Nothing in the app sends, receives, saves, invests or pays real money.
- Bank connections are read-only. A connected bank sends your transactions and balances to the app, and that's all. Your bank's own records are always the official record of your accounts.
2. Not financial advice
The service, including plans made by AI or by the built-in planner, gives general budgeting suggestions for your own information. It isn't financial, investment, tax, legal or credit advice, and we aren't your financial adviser or fiduciary. Suggestions are made automatically from the information you provide and can be incomplete or wrong. Check every suggestion before you rely on it, and talk to a qualified professional about decisions that matter to you. You are responsible for your financial decisions.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the service.
- Use an email address that is yours, and keep access to it secure: anyone who can read your email can sign in to your account.
- One person per account. Don't sign in for someone else without their permission.
- Tell us right away at support@incomewithintent.com if you think someone else has used your account.
4. Subscriptions
- The Free plan includes planning by hand. Plus adds bank connections, and Premium also adds AI plans. The price and billing period are shown before you subscribe.
- Subscriptions are sold through the App Store, Google Play or our web checkout, renew automatically until you cancel, and are governed by that store's terms. You cancel and manage them in that store's account settings. Deleting your Income with Intent account doesn't cancel a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by the store you paid through, under its rules.
- If a subscription that includes bank connections ends, the app pauses those connections and disconnects them 14 days later. Your budget stays.
- We may change prices or plans. We'll tell you before a change affects your subscription, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
5. Your information
You own the information you put into the service. You allow us to store, process and back it up, and to share it with our service providers as described in the Privacy Policy, only to run the service for you. Only import statements and connect accounts that are yours, or that you have permission to use. Keep your own records of anything important: the service is a planning tool, not a record-keeping system.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the service for anything illegal, fraudulent or harmful;
- try to reach another person's account or data, or any part of the service you aren't authorized to use;
- probe, scan or test the service for weaknesses, or get around its security or limits, without our written permission;
- overload or disrupt the service, including with excessive automated requests;
- copy, resell or reverse-engineer the service, or use it to build a competing product, except where the law allows.
7. Other companies' services
Parts of the service rely on other companies, including Plaid, Anthropic, RevenueCat, Apple, Google and Stripe. Their own terms apply to their services, and we aren't responsible for them. If one of them is unavailable, the part of the service that uses it may not work. For example, plans then come from the built-in planner instead of AI.
8. Feedback
If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them to improve the service without owing you anything.
9. Our service
The service, including its software, design and text, belongs to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable permission to use it to manage your own money, under these terms.
10. Changes and availability
The service is in early development. We may add, change or remove features, and we may suspend or end the service. We'll try to give you reasonable notice of major changes, and of the service ending. We don't promise it will always be available or free of errors or data loss.
11. Ending your use
You can stop using the service and delete your account in the app at any time. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or when we must for legal reasons or to protect the service or other users. Where reasonable, we'll tell you first. Sections 2, 5, 8, 9 and 12 to 15 continue after your account is closed.
12. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We don't warrant that budgets, balances, categories, plans, insights or recommendations shown by the service are accurate or complete.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or financial losses resulting from decisions you make using the service. Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US $100.
Some places don't allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited.
14. Indemnity
If you break these terms or the law while using the service and a claim is brought against us because of it, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs from that claim, to the extent the law allows.
15. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Montana, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute about the service will be decided in the state or federal courts located in Montana, and you and we agree to those courts' jurisdiction. Before filing a claim, please contact us at support@incomewithintent.com so we can try to resolve it.
16. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll update the date above and ask you to agree to the new version in the app before you continue.
17. General
These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the service. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term right away, we can still enforce it later. You can't transfer these terms without our consent. We may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
